Sharon E. Moss, PhD, CCC-SLP, CAE, Executive Director for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) has received the 2024 M. Eugene Wiggins Leadership Award, bestowed by the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing (NBASLH) at NBASLH’s annual convention in April.
The award, which is conferred annually, acknowledges the importance of leaders and leadership development that support NBASLH’s mission of addressing the needs of Black professionals, students, and individuals with communication disorders. According to comments from her nominators, Moss was selected this year for her “fresh ideas and approaches to projects and issues,” as well as her ability in “leading teams; creating a culture of foresight, inclusion, and accountability; and advancing organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.”
